Home experimentation...

I have found my self experimenting with media I usually avoid! And I don't know why I haven't tried this before! I have produced a really sophisticated drawing of a pelvis using bleach, water colours and a biro!

Apparently having a strong and inspiring study area really does work!!

Drawing at home...

I always feel more content drawing at home...I love sitting in my little space and getting my creative head on. Nothing better. Here's a little glimpse at my, at home work space...even though it's mostly spread across the whole house, I do try to confine myself to one room...I can get my images up on my wall and examine what I have done that week...also if I feel I have done something well, I pop it up on the wall to keep me inspired! A tutor once gave me a great tip...."if you find you have drawn something really well put it up where you work and it will motivate you to work to that standard throughout!"....great advice from my first year tutor Vicky! I'm now in my third and final year and still following that first piece of University tutor advice!

Suggest me to your friends...

This is a poster I have created to get people interest in my blog. This is also a glimpse at the drawing to expect from my Final Major Project work. Pass this image along to friends/co-workers/textile and artist lovers!

London

I am doing card and gift for my Final Major Project and I am aiming at the "Goth/Rocker" community. It is a market that has barely anything for it so what better than to fill the gap.

I went to the science museum and found some amazing items to draw. I think this just goes to prove that no matter the project do not dismiss any places offering research for FREE!

When doing a project like mine you would assume the best place to go for primary research would be The Natural History Museum. To be honest I found that I was looking for human bones and I discovered more ANIMAL bones than I knew what to do with.

This was my first time at The Natural History Museum and I have to say, for someone who was looking for human bones, I found the museum very.....lacking.
